CORRECTION NOTICE

TOWN OF NEW HOPE, TEXAS

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Fiscal Year 2017-2018 Annual Budget

Notice was published on Sunday, August 13, 2017 in the McKinney Courier- Gazette regarding the Town of New Hope, Texas, Fiscal Year 2017-2018 Annual Budget, incorrectly stating that $217,315.19 of the proposed budget is tax revenue to be raised from new property added to the tax roll this year.

The correction is: $2,173.15 of the proposed budget amount is tax revenue to be raised from new property added to the tax roll this year.

The Town of New Hope will conduct a public hearing pursuant to Chapter 102 of the Texas Local Government Code, on the proposed Fiscal Year 2017-2018 Annual Budget. The hearing will be held on August 29, 2017, at 7:30 p.m. at Town Hall, 121 Rockcrest Road, New Hope, Collin County, Texas.

The proposed budget will raise more total property taxes that last year’s budget by an amount of $6,956.00, which is a 7.76% increase from last year’s budget. Of the proposed budget amount, $2,173.15 is tax revenue to be raised from new property added to the tax roll this year.

Anyone wishing to speak either FOR or AGAINST the proposed Fiscal Year 2017-2018 Annual Budget is invited to attend the public hearing and voice his/her opinion. The proposed budget is on file with the Town of New Hope and copies of which may be obtained on the Town of New Hope’s website at www.NewHopeTx.gov.

TOWN OF NEW HOPE, TEXAS SMALL TAXING UNIT NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Pursuant to Section 26.052 of the Texas Tax Code, the Town Council of the Town of New Hope, Texas will consider adopting a proposed tax rate for tax year 2017-2018 at a regular meeting of the Town Council on August 29, 2017 at 7:30 p.m. at the New Hope Town Hall, 121 Rockcrest Road, New Hope, Collin County, Texas. The proposed tax rate is 0.1960 per $100 of value, which is the same rate as last year. The proposed tax rate will increase total property tax revenue of the Town of New Hope by 7.76%.
