NOTICE
A regular monthly meeting of the Town of New Hope Board of Aldermen/Town Council will be held on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. in the New Hope Town Hall, 121 Rockcrest Road, New Hope, Collin County, TX 75071, in accordance with the following:
AGENDA
Item 1: Call to order and Roll call
Public Comments: A person may address the Council on items not on the printed agenda. Comments are limited to three (3) minutes per speaker with 45 minutes total time for Public Comments. The Town Council may not comment or deliberate regarding such statements or comment during this period. Any discussion of the subject must be limited to a proposal to place the subject on the agenda for a future meeting.
Item 2: Consent items
• Approve the minutes of previous meeting(s)
• Approve the Treasurer’s report(s)
Item 3: Report from Road Commissioner Terry Sanner.
Item 4: Report from Code Enforcement Officer Bob Matthews.
Item 5: Report from Park Commissioner Ald. Omar Nunez.
Item 6: Report from Event Planning and Coordination Committee (EPCC) Chair Kimberly Barrow on possibility of December EPCC event.
Item 7: Report from Media and Communications Committee (MCC) liaison Kelly Hughes.
a. Report or make recommendations for MCC policies and procedures for posting on the website.
b. Update and take appropriate action on Internet survey.
c. Consider and take action on purchasing Hot Spot for Town Hall.
Item 8: Discuss and take appropriate action approving Ordinance No. 2018-005, accepting, approving, and adopting the Certified Appraisal Tax Roll for Town's FY 2018-2019, as prepared by the Collin County Tax Assessor.
Item 9: Discuss and take appropriate action on concerns and complaints surrounding The Pet Loss Center’s plans to add 5-10 crematory chambers to its facility at 511 New Hope Road West.
Item 10: Discuss and take action regarding draft letter to Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) about the Town’s position on the North Texas Municipal Water District (NTMWD) plans for water treatment plant.
Item 11: Discuss and take appropriate action to appoint a Mayor Pro Tem.
Item 12: Discuss and take appropriate action to replace and appoint a NH CEFFC director.
Item 13: Confirm date for next regular monthly Town Council meeting on November 27, 2018 and plan workshops (if any).
