N O T I C E 

A regular monthly meeting of the Town of New Hope Board of Aldermen/Town Council will be held on Tuesday August 28, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. in the New Hope Town Hall, 121 Rockcrest Road, New Hope, Collin County, TX 75071, in accordance with the following: 

    A G E N D A

Item 1.      Call to order and Roll call.

Public Comments.      A person may address the Council on items not on the printed agenda. Comments are limited to three (3) minutes per speaker with 45 minutes total time for Public Comments.  The Town Council may not comment or deliberate regarding such statements or comment during this period. Any discussion of the subject must be limited to a proposal to place the subject on the agenda for a future meeting.

Item 2.    Consent items:

Item 3.          Report from Code Enforcement Officer Bob Matthews with updates on current and on-going violations.

Item 4.    Report from Road Commissioner Terry Sanner.  

Item 5.     Report from EPCC Chair Kimberly Barrow.

Item 6.    Receive 2018-2019 Road Maintenance Bid submissions and packets.  Discuss and take action awarding the Bid and approving the Road Maintenance Agreement for 2018-2019. 

Item 7.    a.    Public hearing to consider adopting the proposed Annual Budget of the Town for Fiscal Year (FY) 2018-2019.

    b.    Discuss and take action adopting the Town’s Annual Budget for FY 2018-2019 and approving Resolution No. 2018-007-R, adopting the Town’s Annual Budget for FY 2018-2019.

Item 8.    a.    Public hearing to consider adopting the proposed tax rate for tax year 2018-2019.  

    b.    Discuss and take action adopting the Town’s tax rate for tax year 2018-2019, and approving Ordinance No. 2018-004, adopting, fixing, and levying a Tax of $0.1960 per $100.00 of Valuation of Taxable Property in the Town for the Tax Year 2018-2019.

Item 9.    Discuss and take action to appoint members of  the Media and Communications Committee as presented by Mayor Hamm.

Item 10.     Follow-up on action items from August 21, 2018 procedure workshop. 

Item 11.     Discuss and take action on Alderman Kelly’s proposed survey concerning Internet access.

Item 12.     Discuss and take action on draft letter to TXDOT concerning Town consensus on preferred alignment for future Hwy 380 expansion.

Item 13.    Items for future discussion.

Item 14.    Set or confirm date for the next regular Town Council meeting on September 25, 2018 and workshop(s), if any.
